Why we use Infusionsoft.


Ok, so the “Battle of CRMs” continues, and will continue long into the digital future. This is expected, and kind of fun to be honest.

There are many to choose from and many factors that should come into play when making the jump to a cloud-based system. After all, the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) you chose will become the beating heart of your business or organization (seriously, it can change everything.)

In today’s world, it is near impossible to keep in contact with each and every lead, prospect, customer, returning customer, affiliate, and even your our employees. So what do you do?

But what system do you choose when there are so many options?

We use several systems, mainly because we want to offer different options for different types of clients. No project we do is the same as the last and nothing here at BrandSpin is “cookie-cutter,” so we need options to best suit the project (we typically use Infusiosoft, Ontraport and Salesforce and will be adding Hubspot for larger businesses we work with.)

It is easy to get lost in the shuffle when googling “Best CRM for my business.” You’ll find tons of options including Infusionsoft, Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, Act-On, Greenrope, Active Campaign, Adobe Campaign, and much more. And believe me, we have not tried them all, nor do we want to.

So, after trying out many and seeing which ones fit best, we use Infusionsoft as our solution for small business automation.

Here is why:

First off, just about everyone looks at pricing first when they are checking out an all-in-one CRM system, and they should. Small businesses sometimes have smaller budgets and it is pretty hard to drop Hubspot type money, or Pardot (starts at $1,000+/mo and goes up from there). So first, let’s take a look at Infusionsoft pricing:

Infusionsoft has several options; Essentials ($199/mo), Deluxe ($299/mo), Complete ($379/mo), and Team ($599/mo). At BrandSpin we have a team of Infusionsoft Certified Consultants and Partners and we also offer better pricing on the Deluxe and Complete so it makes it even more mouth-watering to automate the heck out of your business!

For what you get, the pricing is pretty unbeatable. There isn’t really any use trying to argue that point.

Second, Infusionsoft is a true all-in-one CRM, meaning it can handle your contact management, sales pipeline and opportunity management, sales and shopping cart, marketing automation (email marketing), affiliate sales, and much more. And for the price, it knocks it out of the park.

We are able to build complex and intuitive solutions for our clients and we love how Infusionsoft is a visual editor, meaning we can lay out campaigns in a graphic style vs. just listing things linearly (for the creative part we love this.) We can build “if this happens, then this happens” paths where, if someone clicks on a link for Product A, we can send them more catered emails about Product A instead of bombarding them with info on all other products. It’s pretty sweet.

Now, no CRM is perfect and each and every one we have come across, we wish there could be some changes, fixes,and  improvements. But that is all part of the process of doing this. We are changing the way your business markets to your audience and in doing so, we always find things we wish we could improve on. We have heard the term “Confusionsoft” many times, but that is mainly from people who have never used any other software and they are coming into Infusionsoft for the first time. Nothing this complex would be learned in 3 days. It took me 3 years to become an expert and myself, and our other ICCs are still learning things each and every day to help our clients.

I do feel that Infusionsoft is pretty easy to use and navigate, once you get the hang of it. But look at it this way….. You are paying for this software and you’re paying a pretty low amount considering what it will do for your business. It is able to do SO much that there SHOULD be a learning curve. If it were easy and simple, Infusionsoft would just be a glorified MailChimp (nothing wrong with MailChimp, believe me, but it’s really just a good tool for sending emails.)

Now, Infusionsoft does have some short comings in the design department. We really wish they had more fonts to pick from, as well as a better shopping cart design, and we know they are working to improve those things… so we wait with eager anticipation! So for clients needing a bit more “snap” with their designs, we can custom build and integrate a third party shopping cart plugin that still communicates with Infusionsoft on the back-end, so the problem can be solved that way. We can also custom code emails to make them more stylized and look great, so these problems are solvable, we just want more out of the box.
